Based in Austin, Texas, Allen Technologies has been partnering with hospitals to change the patient experience for 40 years. And a lot has changed in healthcare since Allen was founded. Back then, “patient engagement and entertainment systems” consisted of little more than patient room televisions available for rental. Allen originally was founded to meet patient demand for those in-room televisions – later adding movies, games, and Internet to patients’ entertainment options.
Early on, the Allen clinical team saw the potential to create healthier and happier patients by transforming hospital TVs from simply entertainment boxes, into robust interactive patient engagement tools. As healthcare continues to advance and shift, one thing remains the same – Allen Technologies’ passion for improving the hospital experience.
