Allen Technologies Deploys IPS Solution for Patient Education At Methodist Stone Oak Hospital
Allen Technologies announced today that Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, a nationally recognized patient-focused hospital in San Antonio, TX has selected and deployed the latest Interactive Patient System (IPS) solution from Allen Technologies.
“As we continue to build on our reputation as a health care facility where high-tech and high-touch come together, we are excited to begin using the new IPS solution from Allen Technologies”, said Candie Starr, Chief Operating Officer. “Our goal for the IPS system is to increase patient engagement by providing high-quality health education that will give patients knowledge that helps them make better-informed decisions about their care. We fully expect to see improvement in patient satisfaction, patient outcomes and reduced readmissions.”
Methodist Stone Oak selected the IPS solution to provide exceptional patient education and entertainment through a system that was flexible and easy to use by both patients and care staff. Jerry Folsom, Allen Technologies President & CEO explained that, “the Methodist Stone Oak IPS solution is a scalable, interactive system that enables Methodist Stone Oak care teams to deliver education directly to patients tailored for their condition. In addition, the Allen Technologies Clinical Advisory team worked closely with both the hospital and leading health education content providers, including Milner-Fenwick, Krames-Staywell, and Injoy to develop a custom library of educational content for patients.”
In addition to delivering a superior interactive solution, according to Folsom, “Allen Technologies always looks for opportunities to increase value for customers. At Methodist Stone Oak our flexible technology allowed us to integrate multiple hospital-grade televisions already in use at the hospital into the new interactive system. This eliminated the need for Methodist Stone Oak to purchase new televisions.”
